Kate Garrison

We are very excited to announce the 2024-2025 recipient of Becky’s Memorial Scholarship. Kate Garrison. Kate was chose by the Administration at Coconino High School for qualities reminiscent of Becky Gonzales. Among these qualities are kindness, generosity, humility, patience, and hard work.

During her time at CHS, she challenged herself by taking honors and AP classes. She was a member of our CIT program, which focuses on STEM education. While challenging herself academically each year she maintained a 4.0 GPA. Aside from her classroom accolades, she was also a key member and leader of our WORLD Hall of Fame Coconuts Robotics team.

We are proud to present this award to him! Congratulations, Kate! It is a bright future ahead!

We are very excited to announce the 2023-2024 recipient of Becky’s Memorial Scholarship. Angelo Baca was chose by the Administration at Coconino High School for qualities reminiscent of Becky Gonzales. Among these qualities are kindness, generosity, humility, patience, and hard work. He is a humble young man who is well respected by his peers and teachers and embodies the values Becky Gonzales believed in most.

In addition to his upstanding character and citizenship, Angelo was a dedicated multi-sport athlete who challenged himself with an honor course. He was an all regions recipient in both football and baseball his junior and senior years.

We are proud to present this award to him! Congratulations, Angelo! We wish you all the best on your future endeavors!

Tyanna Chase

We are very excited to announce the 2022-2023, and the very first, recipient of Becky’s Memorial Scholarship. Tyanna Chase was chose by the Administration at Coconino High School for exemplifying the values Becky Gonzales and the heart of what inspired this scholarship. Among these qualities are kindness, generosity, humility, patience, and hard work.

While at CHS Ayanna was a dedicated student-athlete who challenged herself with numerous honors courses. She served as a Link Leader and was a captain of the girls soccer team. Ayanna was also active in several clubs and regularly participated after-school activities. She is also bilingual in English and Spanish!
